10 Excuses for Missing Work

We've all been there. It's a beautiful day, and you can't bear the thought of going into work. So you call in with some excuse about feeling ill, but you know in your bones that your boss doesn't buy it. The feeling-ill excuse is a short-term solution that won't win you any fans at the office -- someone else will have to pick up the slack, or you'll miss deadlines. And it won't help your career any. Here are 10 excuses -- five smart and five not-so-smart -- to help you save face and your sanity.

Smart Excuses

• * I've Earned It: No one can argue with performance. Come in two or three hours early -- or stay late -- for a week or two. Then negotiate a day off in advance. "Really work when you're there, so you'll be able to feel good about taking time off," says Andrea Nierenberg, president of The Nierenberg Group, a management consulting and personal marketing practice.

• * I'm Playing Golf with a Client: For this one to work, you've got to have a job that requires you to meet and court current and prospective clients. Neil Simpkins, an account executive at Oxford Communications, has used this one successfully. One note of caution: Meet the client; don't just say you did.

• * I Have a Doctor's Appointment: This excuse will get you out of work for a half-day or so. Make the appointment first thing in the morning or late in the day, say around 3 p.m. You can leave the office by 2:30 p.m. and get home (hopefully) by 4 p.m. The shortened day will help you recharge, especially if you schedule it on a Friday afternoon.

• * I Have Cramps: Before you dismiss this one, think about it: Who can argue? "It's such an embarrassing topic that nobody will ever challenge it," says Jennifer Newman, vice president of Lippe Taylor Public Relations. She has used this excuse -- and had it used on her -- successfully. "It's one of those things that men honestly have no clue about, and women can sympathize with,." One important point: Don't use this one if you're a man. It'll never work.

• I'm Working from Home: This is an excellent way to give yourself a break if your company allows it. Although you'll need to do some work at home, you can generally get away with a shortened day. And you'll eliminate your commuting time.

Not-So-Smart Excuses

• There's a Death in the Family: Don't ever use this excuse if it's not true. Your employer will lose all trust in you. "I had an employee whose mother died -- twice," says David Wear, a Virginia PR executive. "He also had the misfortune of losing all his grandparents -- 12 of them -- during a two-year period."

• I'm Too Sleepy: When she was a manager at IBM, Marilynn Mobley heard it all. This one still makes her laugh: The employee apparently took Tylenol 3 with codeine instead of a vitamin, because the bottles looked alike.

• I Can't Get My Car Out of the Garage: This is another one that Mobley didn't buy. An employee said that a power failure was preventing him from opening his power-operated garage door. "I reminded him that there's a pull chain on it for just such cases," she says.

• I Can't Find My Polling Place: Mary Dale Walters, a communications specialist at CCH, couldn't believe this one. A former employee needed an entire day to figure out where she had to go to vote in the presidential election.

• I Have a Personal Emergency: This one is so vague that it rarely works. It could mean anything from fatigue to an appointment with your hairdresser, and your boss knows it.

Don't lie, no matter which excuse you use. "I'm not a believer in playing hooky, because it always comes back to you," Nierenberg says. "Don't lie to your boss, your supervisor or your clients. You're guaranteed they will be the ones you'll run into while you're walking down the street in your jeans."

Kimi tak sabar-sabar nak berhenti kerja dkt tmpt keje itu, bagi kimi tempat kerja dekat situ mcm hell penuh dengan tipu daya dan kepura-puraan. Mereka tidak pernah jujur antara satu sama lain. Mereka yang berjawatan tinggi sama-sama bertelingkah untuk menjadi juara.

Diorang selalu suruh jadi professional tapi semua itu hampeh, nak nasihatkan orang tapi diri itu sama je. Alhamdulilah akhirnya Allah s.w.taala nak guide kimi melalui sekeliling kimi. Kimi dah dapat bertunjuk daripadaNya setelah kimi kerjakan solat hajat dan memperbanyakkan doa kepadaNya. Kimi dah belajar benda baru dalam kehidupan kimi.

Allah itu maha berkuasa dan Dia maha Bijaksana, memberian mesej tidak semestinya melalui mimpi bahkan boleh berlaku dalam pelbagai bentuk. Kimi percaya bahwa tiada suatu perkara pun mustahil bagi Allah s.w.taala. Kimi baru tahu sama mereka sebenarnya. Mereka itu semua berpura-pura, apakah itu harus ada dalam hati seorang muslim?

Kimi mengaku kimi bukanlah orang yang cukup menunaikan solat tapi kimi faham bahwa solat itu mencegah mereka yang menunaikannya daripada melakukan dosa. Kimi boleh cakap yang mereka ini tak pernah tinggal solat tapi kimi sungguh pelik dan hairan dengan mereka yang saling tidak mempercayai antara satu sama lain, dan itu membawa kesan kepada kimi.

Pada awal kemasukkan kimi dengan syarikat itu, kimi okay jer dengan semua orang. Namun ia berubah apabila kimi melihat suatu berbalahan "professional" berlaku. Kimi sungguh pelik dengan sikap HR syarikat itu. Dia sungguh tidak amanah dengan apa yang kimi suruh dia amanahkan malah dia pergi bagitahu semua orang dekat itu, patutkah itu berlaku dia sebagai seorang HR sepatutnya dia tahu bahawa tugas seorang HR ada membawa ke-amanan sejagat dalam organisasi milik abangnya itu.

Kimi tekad kali ini kimi tak mau berpaling kebelakang lagi, kimi nak terus memandang kehadapan dan mengambil iktibar daripada masa lampau sebagai suatu pengajaran. Kimi betul-betul benci kerja dekat situ dan kimi akan berhenti kerja dekat situ pada 28hb Mei 2011 ini, dan kimi akan memberi surat berhenti kerja kimi pada 23hb Mei 2011.

Kimi harap mereka akan maju jaya dalam kehidupan mereka dan mengharapkan suatu perubahan. Kimi dapat rasa yang syarikat itu banyak krisis dan mereka harus memulihkannya.

p/s: kimi sebenarnya tak berhenti kerja lagi yang entri hari itu kimi tangguhkan sbb head kimi ckp kimi naik pangkat tapi semua adalah hampeh sebab dia tipu jew, itu pun satu dia kaki temberang.

Seru Vs Thor

Assalammualaikum and hello to everyone, first of all I would to wishing to all of you for Labour Day =) Kimi pun perkerja juga. So, hari ini kimi dengan mf pergi jalan² dekat puchong ini. So hari ini kimi tengok dengan mf 2 cerita, pertama kami tengok filem seru dan second itu kami tengok cerita Thor. 

Cerita Seru ini lebih kurang cerita quarantine dan juga cerita penunggu istana. Jalan cerita quite ok but it need to improve lots of things. I hope you can produce a new film with a new stylish. hahaha We're quite late actually because of we're spend my time at J.co Donut.

After that, Mf and I went to Ampang bowling, then We're play for 3 times after than we're went back to golden cinema for buy the ticket for watching Thor the movie. Alhamdulilah, finally we're have the ticket. The film start on 11:45 pm. hahaha kerja gila kan. Cerita dia quite seronok berbanding dengan cerita seru yang kurang menarik. Cerita thor ini dia banyak bermain  dengan action so ditambahkan lagi dengan kesan 3D kan, memang best lah. Thumb up beb! 

So the conclusion is you're need to make a great decision for spend your beautiful money =)

Dream came true =)

Since of 2007, I'm really want to buy perfume which expensive price (brand) because it more quality. Alhamdulilah, finally today I' have bought this CK Perfume which quite cheap because of promotion event. I bought the CK perfume at The Mall which nearby with PWTC. Then I got free cute perfume from the promoter hehe thanks :)

Senjakala dan Cun!

SENJAKALA

Hari khamis lepas kimi dgn mf g tgk cerita senjakala arahan Ahmad Idham yang berceritakan sebuah keterunan yang terpaksa membela saka yang bukan dari warisannya namun bagaimanapun pewarisnya kembali semula ke kampung halamannya atas sebab untuk menenangkan jiwa yang lara akibat kematian tunangnya. Namun, tidak sangka bahwa dirinya telah di hantui oleh belaan opahnya dan orang kampung di situ tidak menyukainya. Akhirnya kalisha (liyana jasmay) mengambil sakanya semula. Namun sebelum ritual itu bermula, kalisha telah menyampaikan satu amanat kepada arman (bob) sekiranya ia perlu dibunuh maka bunuhlah. Adakah kalisha akan dibunuh oleh arman maka saksikan cerita menarik ini dipawangan berhampiran anda~

Hari sabtu, kimi dengan mf g tengok cerita CUN! arahan Osman Ali. Cerita ini mengisahkan seorang pengacara yang mengacarakan sebuah rancangan hiburan yang mempaparkan gosip-gosip artis malaysia. (konsep melody) dan ia juga dikenali sebagai ratu gosip. Namun setelah mendapati bahwa kekasihnya telah membuat sumbang dibelakangnya dengan seorang pelakon wanita yang dilakonkan oleh Marsha. Dan akhirnya si dia dan P.Anya pergi ke kampung halaman P.Anya di Kedah yang dikenali sebagai Kampung Mata Ayer. P.Anya kata, siapa yang datang ke kampung Ayer Hitam ini pasti berjumpa dengan mata ayer (kekasih hati) yer. Jadi betul ke si dia akan menemui cinta hatinya di sini? Saksikan cerita Cun! di pawangan berhampiran. =)

I'm become ecstacy when I'm start to chit-chat about this famous series (drama). I knew that you are really familiar with this famous musical drama series which known as Glee. Yes, I'm a bystander for this series, whose care right ? so why a virus have been effect to me which make me crazy to watching this drama?

it is stories of a singer club and all known that it is a fun club. Do not have any shadow because it's showing a reality live that we're have through it.

I love sing a song of westlife and yesterday I've sang this song that known as Marry Me which cover by GLEE. I love the ways that they sang their cover songs.

So what I want to mention is:

Yes! and yes that I am a bystander for GLEE drama series :)
